A Particularly Fine Black Forest Bear Bench
Hand carved in walnut, having two erect bears, with glass eyes, supporting the bench, the back having a bear prowling along a trellis of branches, with the seat further carved.

shews very similar bear benches, especially photos 241 & 250. Our bench may well be by the same carver as the same carver.
