A Black Forest Bull
An expertly carved work of art from the Black Forest, signed by A. Spring of Interlaken, using a finely grained walnut, and having acquired a deep, rich patina in the century and a quarter since its creation, (circa 1900), our bull is expertly observed from the life, by the artist, being in a clearly recognisable dynamic pose, standing on an oblong, naturalistically carved base, supported by its original circular column, set on a square plinth.
